Located in the centre of Aylesbury, just off
the market square, you will find The Harrow. Historically
the building dates back to the 6th Century when it was a farmhouse.
In the 17th Century it was converted into two pubs, the Harrow
and the Barleycorn. Later still it became one large pub called
the Farmyard and in May 2004 it had a major |
|
refurbishment to become part of the Firkin Beer Company and
renamed the Harrow! In appearance it is a mixture of traditional
with a hint of modern. It has retained the old beams and
a real fire but has modern decor and facilities. Food
can be enjoyed anywhere in the pub or outside in summer where
there is a heated patio area for the chilly evenings.
The clientele vary according to the time of day. Daytime
sees locals, office workers, shoppers and the more mature.
Later on there are more office workers and people coming for
the special meal deals. There is a fabulous atmosphere
here which is really friendly and relaxed. The staff are
super and welcoming. |
